Chinese traditional medicine is called 'Chinese Medicine'. Decoction is the traditional method of extracting Chinese medicine. The process is still an important method of plant extraction till now, but many problems weren't solved such as old-dated extraction process, low extraction rate and long extraction time etc. In order to increase ratio of effectual component in extraction succus and decrease production cost, it was necessary to apply modern techniques to research and analyze its extraction process. The paper studies the new process of Semi continuous inner-boiling extraction and Ethyl Acetate purification.The new process resolves the above problem partially: the extraction time was shorter, the consumption of organic solvent was lower and the content of effectual component was higher and so on. It reduced the equipments of extraction. This method was easier to undertake in factory, so it had a good future in industrial application.We studied on extraction and purifying process of chlorogenic acid in flos lonicerae, with new extraction method. We found the best conditions of extraction and purifying, i.e. the best conditions of extraction is: the temperature of hot water is higher than 95°C, the volume ratio of solution and ethanol is 1:2.0, the volume ratio of solution and hot water is 1:20 and the best conditions of purifying is: extraction time is 50s, the solution concentration is 40mg/mL, the volume ratio of solution and ethyl acetate is 1:2, the extraction times is 3 times.The content of chlorogenic acid was higher than 78.3% in extraction product, the yield ratio is 6.7%. Compared with the traditional process, the purity and yield ratio raise 3.6% and 2.6% respectively. And the volume of the solvent decreases. The ethanol-precipitator is saved.We increase the material mass from 200g to 1000g, the extraction rate and product purity are stable. So the new method is available to apply to the industry.The paper did lots of design such as PFD, material and energy calculating, equipment size calculating, plan plot of operation workshop design etc. for producing 1000t.a-1 Chlorogenic acid industry application. We compared the new process with the traditional process, so we can see the obvious advantage of the new process. The paper provides the design basis for industry application.
