The soybean protein fiber is the only fiber developed by technician of China and firstly succeeded in industrialize production by far . The soybean protein fabrics are smooth and soft, they have good drape behavior , hand , moisture absorption ,permeability and great affinity with skin. For there is few study on the relationship between the performance of soybean protein woven fabrics and their structure and few testing and analysis on the blending with other fibers and the comparison between yarn properties, the paper analyzes the relationship between the performance of soybean protein woven fabrics and the structure by testing the soybean protein yarn, making comparison between the performance of soybean protein woven fabrics and cotton, silk, Tencel fabrics, making comparison between the performance of different structures ,which will provide later science study and the production with guidance. The main content of the paper is:(1)testing mechanical properties of the soybean protein yarn, blended yarn and different count soybean protein yarn such as 21s,32s,40s,50s,60s,80s and making comparison between them . educing the rule of influence between them by applying the method of mathematic statistics and theoretical analysis..(2)making comparison between the performance of soybean protein woven fabrics and cotton, silk, tencel fabrics such as drape behavior, crease resistance, moisture absorption etc, pointing out the performance characteristics of soybean protein fabrics (.3)studying and discussing the relationship between the performance of soybean protein woven fabrics and the structure from the view of testing the performance of soybean protein woven fabrics ,reaching certain useful conclusion ,which will be helpful to design and develop soybean protein woven products.
