| Based on the state's"863"science and technology project"Research on the Application of Case-based Industrial Design Technology and CBID System", the paper discusses the mapping relationship between structure and shape of numerically controlled machines and constructs the mapping mechanism from the internal structure to external form, which realizes its application on the intellectualized CAID system of numerically controlled machines, and its results also can be used in the process of product development based on the thought of concurrent engineering.Firstly, the design process of the shape of numerically controlled machines is put forward, which defines the concept of form prototype to explain the intermediate state from structure to the final shape. The form prototype representing the key profile embodies the restricted relationship from structure to shape synthetically , which is the basic theory of the paper.Based on this, the paper brings forward a research framework of the mapping mechanism from structure to shape. We separate NC machine tools structure into several structure characteristics while extract shape characteristics from machine tools, in this process, we quote the notion"characteristic mapping"and set up a series mapping relationship from structure domain to shape domain. Relationship of characteristic mapping is combination of dispersive function relationship, it's not the objective of this research since it can't be expressed explicitly and can't be used effectively in CAD process, we need to establish mapping mechanism of entity. We can get different type of structure through different combination, in the same way, combination of different type of shape characteristics make shape prototype, so we set up a one-to-one relationship between structure and shape prototype; based on this, different shape characteristics form different shape, in this way, we set up a one-to-many relationship between shape prototype and shape. Because of the characteristics of machine tools, we could use 2 dimensions profile to depict 3 dimensions shape , this paper analyzes these profiles of NC machine tools.Then we take NC lathe and horizontal process center as our research objects,... |
