In our work experience and the work space experiences, the relation between office furniture and people is closet. During the history of human being, the history of furniture lasts for hundreds of years, while office furniture was begun from 20 century. This research is focus on the office furniture which is important part in the office environment and point out the situation and history of office furniture to make overall analysis for being organized reference for industry development. Furthermore, according to the development and foreign development of office furniture, the thesis makes the trend of future development of office furniture.This thesis comprises the following three aspects:At first, the thesis summarizes some factors about the development of office furniture in China. The factors include the flux of the social politics and economy, the development of the office equipments, the change of the working way, and the advancement of the furniture material and manufacture technique, and the influence of the foreign office furniture.Secondly, the thesis describes the evolution of office furniture at 20 century of China.
