In order to enhance the recovery efficiency of three class oil layers, increase the recoverable reserves and select the potential layers for polymer flooding, the pilot test for polymer flooding in Gaotaizi oil layers is launched. The feasibility study of polymer flooding in Gaotaizi oil layers is conducted through numerical simulation of polymer flooding in the thesis. The numerical simulation study on different polymer flooding schemes in G â…¡1-18 of L8-182 well block of Lamadian Oilfield is presented in the thesis. Based on the thorough research into the geological characteristics and current development status of pilot test region, the geological modeling of oil layers is finished by the preprocess module of Eclipse, then, the history matching of water flooding is carried out, the main indexes include: geological reserves, recovery efficiency, pressure, comprehensive watercut and watercut of single well. During the process of history matching, in order to enhance the matching precision, the wells are divided into the following groups: basic wells, the first infilling wells, "8-zihao" wells of first infilling, the second infilling wells, and "1-zihao" wells of second infilling. After the matching precision of water flooding meets the requirement, the geological model is modified according to the well logging interpretation of new wells, then the numerical simulation study of polymer flooding is done. The polymer flooding schemes are as follows: the predictions of different schemes in the condition of uniform molecular weight and concentration;shemes of different melocular weight and different concentration;shemes of different parameters for layers and melocular weight;the optimized schemes of different parameters for layers and melocular weight. Through the prediction and comparison of above four groups of schemes, the parameters, such as melocular weight, concentration, injecting rate, quantity of polymer, are optimized, and the development indexes and the recovery efficiency are predicted, providing a basis for the pilot test for polymer flooding in G â…¡1-18 oil layers in L8 well block.
