The carbonate rock is one of the source rock and reservoir rock types, which reservoirformation widely distributed around the world. The carbonate reservoirs typically have thecharacteristics with large-scale, more quantity of recoverable oil, and high oil and gasproduction. From the1970s to today, the test results of enhanced oil recovery projects oncarbonate reservoirs in global have proved that it is feasible to use EOR widely in thecarbonate reservoirs. And, it is always been a difficulty and a focus both at home and abroadabout how to carry out the corresponding numerical simulation technology research oncarbonate reservoir.Take the Russian UDM Chudel oilfield as the target area to carry out the research on thenumerical simulation of pore type carbonate reservoir in high water cut stage, and explore thefeasibility of enhanced oil recovery by using the chemical flooding in the carbonate reservoir. On the basis of geological and logging results, this paper comprehensive with the reservoirperformance analysis, improving the geological model by multiple disciplines, accomplishedthe history matching more quickly and reasonable, and established a reliable water floodinghistory fitting model of test area. After established the initialization of chemical floodingmodel, and combined with the laboratory experiment and practical oilfield, the paper gives theoptimum injection parameters of the polymer flooding scheme, surfactant flooding and SPflooding. The technical difficulties of numerical simulation about the test area existing in:reservoir physical parameter with the strong heterogeneity, the vertical and plane reservoirshave the complex influence on deliverability, the difficulty in model history matching. After40years of production time, the oilfield is in the high water cut stage with a complex actualproduction history which challenging the model calculation speed and data reduction. Also, the exploratory research is needed to probe the feasibility of taking chemical flooding in thepore type carbonate reservoir. The optimum injection parameters of the chemical floodingneed detailed study because of the specific laboratory experiment results. To solve these difficulties, the paper use a combination of logging data, geologicalresults and production performance analytical data, combined with the characteristics of thegeological and reservoir model to establish the refinement geological model. The specialprocessing methods like local smoothing treatment of permeability and equivalent treatmentof boundary energy are used in the history matching process to make the reliable correctedcondition. Aiming at characteristics of different software, the paper corrected the chemicalflooding numerical simulation model based on the parameter modification. The paper alsogives the optimum injection parameters and projects of the polymer flooding with thecombination of laboratory experiments and practical oilfield production. All the resultsprovide a strong theoretical basis for the oilfield scheme adjustment and design.
