Study On Training Model Of Specialized Talent Of Furniture Design Of Higher Vocational Education

Chinese furniture industry experienced a rapid development since Opening and Innovation. Today, a well education system of furniture design has been build to accommodate the development of furniture industry. While the study of talent training mode is not enough, especially in the area of higher vocational education. Furniture industry bases on dense labor, so it needs numbers of skilled workers. Professionals with applied technique are regarded important. So, study on training model of specialized talent of furniture design of higher vocational education takes on important practical purport. First, the thesis summarized the developing actuality about international and domestic furniture design education system and the current condition of some universities in this area, and also introduced the characteristic and the developing actuality of higher vocational education in China. Then, by analytical and synthetical methods, it discussed the training model of specialized talent of furniture design of higher vocational education from the following three points: goal and scale, training content and mode, and system of quality control. Through the case study of WenZhou Vocational and Technical College, it demonstrated the feasibility of establishing the major of "furniture design and manufacture" in this college, then deeply investigated the source of this idea, goal and scale, curriculum system, teaching organization and cultivating method, construction of the practice base and the teaching team. At last, it constituted the teaching arrangement of the major in WZVTC. As a result, some measures in the thesis were adopted by WZVTC, and the teaching program already has been put into practice.
