| The most CAD/CAM system is a general platform, and do not offer the special functional module for the powder metallurgy mold industry. Therefore, it is a feasible program to develop a customized CAD module in the using of powerful CAD for powder metallurgy industry. This thesis is based on the major project of "Development of CAD/CAM mould design and manufacture technology for the key accessories of the automobile" of Guangxi Scientific and Technical Office, the study and development of the powder metallurgy customized module is on the platform of Unigraphics NX1.0, the main works as following:(1)Study the technological process of powder metallurgy production and basic designing principle of powder metallurgy die, the designing method and calculation process of the forming die specially;(2)Study the development method of the software UG completely, and achieve the whole process of development. Including: applicationprogram interface of UG and VC++ 6.0 based platform, customization of MenuScript, visible design application of UG/Open UIStyler, and 3D design and application in the program of UG/Open API;(3)The gross structure of whole system is designed on the base of open and alternate method, and complete all the module's design and development of the major parts (cavity die, core rod and puncher) and the related mold ( part import, technology judgement, major part assembly and schedule drawing ) of the powder metallurgy forming die.
