Research & Development Of Sizing Techics Module On Powder Metallurgy Die CAD System Based On UG Platform

The common CAD system is a platform of general software, but it does not offer the special functional module for the design of powder metallurgy die. In order to improve the die design quality and efficiency, it is necessary to develop a customized CAD module for powder metallurgy die based on general CAD software.Using UG as a developing platform, sizing techics module of powder metallurgy die CAD system has been investigated. The main works are as following:(1)The production technological process of powder metallurgy and basic designing principle of powder metallurgy die have been studied. And this paper also discussed the designing method and calculation process of the sizing-die specially. The emphasis is the design of sizing-die.
