| The glasses influence our eyesight and life enormously. Our country produces and consumes a great deal of glasses. Research on the numerical control equipment of lens manufacturing has not only academic significance, but also practical value, which meets the requirements of market for low-price, high-accuracy and automatic lens edging system. In the dissertation, the key technologies of the lens edging system are studied. Firstly, the mathematic modeling about lens outline is given from the theory of automatic 2D lens manufacturing. Secondly, the mechanism of tracer and lens edger is described and the mechanical structures of them are designed. Thirdly, the software is developed for the lens edging system in PC and PIC16F877. Fourthly, on the basis of the FT245BM chip provided by FTDI Corporation, the approach of controlling USB is given. Finally, the prototype lens edging system is completed and its control system is tested. |
