With the development of NC technology, in order to improve the production efficiency of wood processing companies, numerical control alteration of woodworking machines is imminent, the numerical control alteration is that NC systems is installed on common woodworking machines to meet the digital control.Comparing to common woodworking machines, NC woodworking machines can adapt to the requirements of the current development of society more, it can enhance productivity and improve precision. It is significant to have a reasonable numerical control alteration of common woodworking machinery to companies.According to the related research status on the woodworking four surfaces planer at home and abroad, combining with the demand of domestic production enterprises of woodworking planer, this paper took MB4012 four surfaces planer as a example, and proposed a numerical control alteration scheme of common woodworking four surfaces planer.According to the technique requirements of four surfaces planer, the paper introduced the original mechanical structure and mechanical structure after alteration, had a structural alteration of the turret feed mechanism intensively. According to the processing requirements of four surfaces planer, the paper designed a special NC system based PLC in the mass, and had a mathematical model and stability analysis of the closed loop control system of NC system to provide security of the design and implementation of NC system.From the practical point of departure, the paper designed a special NC system in detail, in terms of hardware, chooed PLC, motor drive, position detecting equipment and HMI, and designed the main circuit, the control circuits, the power distribution circuit and PLC external wiring circuits of NC system and the control cabinet, and introduced the connection of PC and PLC.In terms of software, the process, the requirements and the flow chart is introduced integrally, and a ladder diagram of PLC is designed, including ladder diagram design principles, system control principle and so on, a interactive interface design based VB is proposed, including VB programming design process and HMI using process, finally NC system had commissioning and trial operation.Comparing to common four surfaces planer, four surfaces planer with NC system improved the processing efficiency, reduced labor costs and improved the machining accuracy, enhanced the competitiveness of NC four surfaces planer in the domestic market and improved the economic efficiency of enterprises.
