With the development of automobile industry in global, more and more camshifts are required. But in our country, the method of processing of machining camshifts is also the traditional technics of recumbent grinding. it is diffcult to get preferable precision. Because the technics of getting high precision camshaft are taken the reins by any countries. It is necessary for us to develop an our own grinder, the emphases is to develop an CNC control system to fulfil the requirement of economical development.My tasks adopt the system structure that is popularity overseas, which is IPC+Motion control card. The system uses the IPC as the hardware platform, combining with the preferable capability of TRIO PCI motion control card, supported by linear motor and servo motor, it make up of the high capability configure. In this paper, the structure diagram of the system hardware is given, and explains the design and the realization methods.CNC software based on Windows operating system adopted Visual C++6.0 as design platform, with the methods of OOP and modularize design method.We have done detailed design about system's user,data dispose,and control modularize ,we also compiled corresponding program.This paper analysed the pivotal technology of machining camshaft.Adopt the method of based on timeslice , ensure the camshaft speed invariableness when grinding. The communication between PLC modularize and IPC use RS232 interface.IPC read and write PLC state information actively realize data exchange by CNC.Camshaft maching process simulation had been realized by OpenGL technology.Finally, with the actual testing, complete the whole system.
