We adopt peat which is very rich in nature as raw material, at first, the peat was oxidated by nitric acid to increase the content of humic acid; the second, extract of humic acid from the peat by use of sodium hydrate and soda.We produce amide through the action of ammonia water with carboxyl in humic acid, afterwards we carry on the action of aminomethylation and quaternary ammonation, accordingly we obtain quaternary humic acid (QHA).The optimum condition of preparation of QHA was that, the refined powder of humic acid: thick ammonia water (mass ratio) = 1:2.5; humic acid amide: formaldehyde: dimethylamine (mass ratio) = 2:1.8:1.6; the produce of aminomethylation:benzyl chloride (mass ratio) = 1: 0 . 8 .Ordinarily, the quaternary ammonation degree of modified humic acid is between 60% and 80%. the corrosion inhibition of QHA is up to 92%, and QHA have high efficiency of biocide.aqueous synthesis and properties of phosphono-containing acrylic acid/maleic anhydride (ZPS)was systematically investigated. Maleic anhydride, acrylic acid and sodium hypophosphite, initiated by ammonium persulfate, were used as the feed stock in this synthetic reaction. The optimum conditions and material ratio was: AA :MA=3:l(mol ratio), sodium hypophosphite and initiate agent weigh 20% and 15% of total weight, reaction temperature 90℃, reaction time 4.0 h. The scale inhibition of ZPS is up to 97%.The blends (QHA/ZPS) of quaternary humic acid (QHA) and copolymer ofphosphono-containing acrylic acid/maleic anhydride (ZPS) first have been prepared by solution blend. Their inhibition performance of scale and corrosion and properties of biocide have been studied and compared with QHA and ZPS. Experimental results show that the blends(QHA/ZPS) have better scale and corrosion inhibition performance, and biocide capability is well. When the mass ratio of QHA to ZPS is (2~3): 1, the blends have synergic effects on scale-corrosion inhibition performance, with high effect in low dosage. QHA /ZPS is work best in this condition: water's pH value is 7-10 and temperature is no more than 90℃,.The excellent performance of QHA/ZPS decides that it is a valuable multipurpose water-treating agent. The study of QHA/ZPS is value to theory research and practical application.
