In this paper, a UV-Curable powder saturated polyester resin was modified by using carboxyl polyester available in market to be catalyzed esterification with epoxy chloropropane, then introducing the aery late C=C into the ends of its molecule through phase transferring method to produce photosensitive polyester. Furthermore, some systemic research was conducted on photosensitivity of the polyester, discussing the factors affecting photocuring processes such as the type of the photoinitiators, the amount of the photoinitiators and the crosslinking agent, as well as irradiation distance ^ time> temperature of UV-curing ,etc. The analysis of gel percentage and FTIR spectrometry were used to trace the variation of double bond content during the photocuring process. The test results from impact strength, hardness, adhesive force and resistance to acid and alkali of the cured film showed that the modified polyester had better mechanical properties, but the resistance to alkali was deficient. |
