Stereolithography (SL) meets with much recognition and wide applications in the whole world as an excellent Rapid Prototyping technology which can turn out beautiful parts with high precision and practicability. Stereolithography refers to mechanics, laser technology, CNC, macromolecule material and computer software technology. It can fabricate 3D solid objects directly from CAD models without any part-specific tooling , and can reduce the lead time of products .The technology is widely used in the product design and evaluation ,function test ,and quick tooling ,etc .The part deformation during SL process is the predominant cause which deteriotates the accuracy. Through the study on the warpage mechanism, it is concluded that the warpage is not only related to the laser scanning parameters and exposing strategies, but also to the shrinkage characteristics of SL resin. In order to reduce warpage at all , it is essential to search resolvent on Stereolithography resin.In the dissertation, the special property requirements of SL light-curable resin are discussed. Based on it, in order to decrease the ratio of volumetric shrinkage of the UV-curable resin, and meet the demands of the resin's properties on its viscosity, curing speed and mechanical properties and so on, the hybrid light-curable resin are studied. Through a lot of experiments, serious design and optimisation on the prescription of the hybrid light-curable resin are given, and the concentration of the photoinitiators, oligomers and diluent monomers is determined. A kind of diluent monomers with low viscosity is synthesized. The mixture of the oligomers and the monomer is used for decreasing shrinkage of the resin. The volumetric shrinkage of the obtained resin is 1.93%. Its viscosity is 970 mPa.s at 20℃, and it has a high curing speed.The research work is summarized at the end of this thesis and the prospect of further study is given.
