The structural seismic response analysis includes elastic seismic analysis and elastoplastic seismic analysis. Elastic seismic analysis has been well developed, and it can reliably simulate the elastic response of any complicated structure if the model is reasonably simplified. With the efforts of researchers, the method of elastoplastic seismic analysis can give reliable analysis on two dimensional simple structures. However, the problem of elastoplastic seismic analysis on three dimensional structures has not been well solved, which is therefore, still be a research hot spot in relative fields.Currently, there are two kinds of large structural elastoplastic analysis software, namely general finite element analysis software and special structural analysis software. The former is represented by Abaqus, Msc.Marc, Ansys, while the latter are Opensees, Perform-3D and Canny. General finite element software uses nonlinear finite element models and solving strategies, but it possesses certain problems when used for practical structure analysis. Special structural analysis software can simulate structural response more practically, but it possesses disadvantages during preprocessing and post processing.The main works of the thesis are as follows,(1) Structural elastoplastic analysis model is researched. The research and application of the fiber model (stiffness method fiber model and flexibility method fiber model) in Opensees are discussed. In addition, the computing theories and application scope of the elastoplastic analysis models in Canny are studied. The advantages and disadvantages of RC wall models are compared that include TVLEM, MVLEM, RC wall model basing on ETLBE and so on.(2) Because of disadvantages during preprocessing in Canny2007, the features and applications of the finite element preprocessing and post processing software GID are researched in detail in the thesis, then the interface GID-Canny2007 are developed which connects GID and Canny properly. The interface makes processes of modeling and data input more convenient, so it makes up deficiencies of the preprocessing of Canny2007 in some degree, and the applicability of Canny is enhanced furtherly.(3) The interface GID-Canny2007 and the solving program Canny2007 are used in this thesis to conduct elastoplastic seismic response analysis on a frame structure with semi-interlayer damaged heavily in Wenchuan Earthquake in Dujiangyan. Analysis results show that the maximum value of inter-story drift appears between the interlayer and its upper layer, and the damage is serious, which agrees well with the damage investigation results. By comparing the damage extent of the frame structure with or without interlayer, it reveals that the seismic performance of RC frame structure with interlayer is worse and inappropriate to be built in seismic region.
