Incremental Updating And Spatio-temporal Query Based On Base State With Amendments Model

In TGIS, spatio-temporal data model, updating and spatio-temporal query are the three main research issues. The spatio-temporal data model is the basis of TGIS; the spatio-temporal data updating is the bottleneck constraint of TGIS developing currently, and the key problem of the systems sustaining working or not; the spatio-temporal query is one of the core functions of TGIS must owning, and the basis for users analyzing histories, discovering rules and making forecasting. However, for different spatio-temporal data models, there is a big difference on spatio-temporal data updating and query approaches. In the large number of models, base state with amendments model obtains more in-depth research and application, because of its strongpoint, such as less storage, easy to analyzing change, etc. In this paper, the author studied the methods of spatio-temporal data updating and query on the basis of base state with amendments model. The major work, including:(1) Through analysis of the characteristics of base state with amendments model's data organization, uses change-only information file to collect the changes in order to update the base state data; and utilizes delta-file to save information gap between the new base state and the old to prepare for spatiotemporal query.(2) Through studies of incremental updating methods, designs three approaches:updating based on change-only information file, interactive updating and topological linkage updating. Also, introduces their concrete realizable algorithms at last.(3) On the basis of delta-file, analyzes snapshot query method and the evolution of parent-child inheritance query method, and designs related algorithms.(4) Using e-Village Update System as development platform, achieves the kinds of spatio-temporal data updating and query methods with VC++ from the underlying. Then, verifies the feasibility of the relevant methods and algorithms through experiment testing.
