This paper studies two major contents,which based on the general principles of landscape ecology. One is the analysis of landscape pattern, and another is the assessment of regional ecosystem health. So we have a quantitative grasp of the study on regional landscape pattern and ecosystem health status, and put forward constructive suggestions for local eco-environmental protection.This paper adopts QuickBird RS images of 2007 as the main research data, combined with the land using characteristic of research area, establishing a landscape classification system supported by GIS technology. This paper uses landscape pattern index method to analyze the regional landscape pattern. We select some indices such as PD, PLAND, MPS, ED,FD on the level of patch type, and SHDI, SHEI, CONTAG, FN on the landscape level, to analysis the landscape pattern of Guangzong County and each township. The research indicates that the farming landscape is a dominant type with the smallest patch density and the biggest edge density, the fractal dimension approaches 1 ,the integrity and the connectivity is quite good. Therefore the Guangzong County overall landscape diversity is small, the heterogeneity is poor, the preponderant patch has the aggregation distribution, and the jamming is remarkable.Based on the regional ecosystem health theory, this paper uses indicator system's method to establish pressure-state-response model of region ecosystem health assessment,which select land pressure, population pressure, vigor, organization, resilience, natural systems and human systems responds and other indicators to actualize regional ecosystem health evaluation. The ecosystem health results are classified by five levels: relatively best, relatively better, relatively normal, relatively worse, relatively worst. Tale Guangzong Country township for the evaluation cell, we extract the relevant index value of regional ecosystem health evaluation system, standardize indicator values, use composite index to get the health level of the evaluation. By analyzing the spatial difference of the ecosystem health, it can be seen that the ecological health is very poor, only one town's health status is relatively fine, three towns is normal and four towns is relatively bad. Ecosystem pressure was tremendous, vigor and zoology resilience were quite low, and the landscape pattern has many flaws, and the regional socio-economic development level was low. In view of the conclusions, it analyzes the cause and put forward countermeasures and suggestions.
