Giant panda is the special rear endangered wildlife in China. Now they are occurring only in six mountains of Qinling, Minshan, Qionglaishan, Xiangling, and Liangshan. In recent years, habitats of the giant panda have been fragmented due to long-term various human activities, which results in the drastic diminishing of the distribution area and the population size of this endangered species.this need more So survey the influence and consequence of this disturbances on the habitats, establish a scientific and complete monitoring system of giant panda and make a reasonable protection countermeasures are very impendent, which can provide basis and value of reference for the protection and management the habitat of giant panda. Our team surveyed the disturbances in the Foping nature reserve and Guanyinshan nature reserve during 2007-2009, research and divide the disturbances from the qualitative to quantitative and analysis the frequency and spatial distribution of disturbances, which occurred in the habitats of Qinling moutains. Then put forward specific countermeasures of restraining the unfavorable disturbances and promoting the region ecological and harmony, which can provides the basis for protection and management the habitats of giant panda. The results suggest that at the study area:1) the horizontal distribution of the panda population is uneven. The density of giant panda was smaller in Guanyinshan than Foping nature reserve and has a rule of core region>buffer zone>experimental area in the study areas. But after the continuous monitoring during 2007-2009, we found that the traces of giant panda shift from experimental area. Most of pandas are distributed between 1800-2000m.2) Currently, human disturbances are the main disturbances effecting the habitats of giant panda in study areas, and the influence of natural disturbances is weaker. The frequency order of disturbances was as follows: road building>grazing>herb collecting> others disturbances >crop land> eco-tourism. During 07-09, all the disturbances become weaker, except the eco-tourism and road building.3) Due to the more disturbances, the weights of all disturbances were obtained by AHP. And the order is as follows: road building > grazing >ecotourism>cutting wood >herb collecting >bamboo blooming >harvest bamboo >others>logging>poaching >crop land > abandoned land > resident and cemetery> landslide. According to the evaluation results, Preparing the regional hierarchies graph of human disturbance, natural disturbances and comprehensive disturbances.5) In order to improving the quality of habitat of giant panda, we put forward the basic strategy of inhibiting unfavorable ecological factors of giant panda, the sustainable forestry management and extending artificial bamboo.
