By using LI-6400 CO2 gas analysis system, this paper studied the diurnal variations of the photosynthetic rate, the light curve, the CO2 variation of four introduced plants in Beijing. The correlations between net photosynthetic rate and environmental factors were assessed by the correlation analysis and multivariate regression analysis. The results indicated that the photosynthetic rate showed a double-peak curve; Liriodendron tulipifera and Acer saccharinum had the high photosynthetic capacity, Aesculus chinensis had the high shade-tolerance; the major favors affecting the photosynthetic rate were the stomata conductance, the intercellular CO2 concentration, and photosynthetic active radiation except Aesculus chinensis. Comparing the introduction plants to the ones of the country of origin, the photosynthetic ability falls off when we introduce the plants from south to north, but it almost does not change in the opposite way. In the point of ecological benefit, Acer saccharinum and Liriodendron tulipifera show the higher ability than the other two plants.
