Study On The Applications In Village And Town Planning Of 3D Visualization Of Geographical Information System

Visualization of 3D scene is the core technique of Digital-City. 3D Geographical Information System has become a hotspot in research development and application of GIS at present. 3D Geographical Information System can realize information's query and analysis in 3D scene of village and town, based on which it not only provides vision taste for user, make user have cognition of geist for village and town planning and constructing, but also make decision-maker, designer and user have more lifelike, impersonal and rational cognition for status of village and town planning and blueprint of design. So it is significant for the research of urban and rural sustainable development because 3D virtual scene of village and town widen the view of city planner, designer and manager, made village and town planning and base establishment's design are more reasonable and scientific.Combined with the concerned item, take the General Planning of ShuangLong Town HuangLing County for instance, 3D Geographical Information System and its applications in village and town planning were researched in this paper.There are five chapters all together in the thesis. The first chapter is preface, which introduces the problem the thesis will solve, gives the answer for the question why the thesis will study in this topic, and illustrates briefly the aim and methodology of this systematic research. The second chapter introduces relative conception about Geographical Information Visualization , defines 3D GIS and discusses its trait and fuctions, and puts forward the methods of 3D special data by the particular subdivision in spatial entities. Finally,3D softwares and which one this article used are indruduced.The third chapter introduces the background,principle,emphases,gist and area of general planning of ShuangLong town, and describes the development actuality and property of ShuangLong town, and based on which, provides planning scheme. The forth chapter focuses on the technology of 3D scene modeling, and based on which it models 3D scene for the planning scheme of ShuangLong town. In chapter five, the research results are concluded. Furthermore, future studies are discussed as well.Through analyzing and contrasting general planning software AutoCAD and GIS synthetically, it shows that GIS has even more superiority in village and town planning. This article research the application of 3D GIS in village and town planning,and has modeled 3D virtual scene for the ShuangLong town by the module 3D Analyst of ArcGIS which is made by ESRI. The outcome indicates that 3D virtual planning production is more intuitionistic than plan. And 3D GIS make it analyze,value and contrast planning schemes in various point of view conveniently, therefore find more scientific and feasible planning scheme. So, this article has practical value in a certain extent.
