Geographic Information System Design And Implementation

To establish and perfect road network management information system is the trendency of international road development, and it is very important to improve the level of road management modernization and informatization and science. With the development of GIS , to use GIS to research transportation planning and engineering management and traffic precedes other traditional methods . The article is the establishment of Deyang highway management information system as an example and introduce the designment and implementation of the system based on GIS.According to the analysis of the general design goal and assignment of the system, the request of user and the data source, and integrating them with the characteristics of ArcGIS second development platform, this article divides the system into seven functional subsystems such as system management subsystem, data display and data edition subsystem, information search subsystem, statistical analysis subsystem, three-dimensional analysis subsystem, thematic map edition and export subsystem, documentation management subsystem and so on. In addition, the designment of database is the important part for the development and implementation of the information system, and the database, which contains the words, figures and table is established. On this basis, the article takes object-oriented technology and control technology as realizing ways, and use Visual Basic and MapObjects2.2 to develop the Deyang highway management information system. The system can cater to each type of users and has the functions of editing, scanning, inquiry, analysis and printing. The system provides friendly and practical Chinese graphics interface. We consider adequately operational characteristic and habit of the users and make it operate easily. At the same time, the system fully displays that GIS face to users by the graph and makes the performance of information be more intuitionist and efficient.The system has the characteristic of reasonable structure, adequate information, accurate data, comprehensive content and self-contained function and is advanced and open-ended, which makes it become an open aid decision making system that is visible...
