The Development And Design Of TGIS Based On ArcGIS Engine

The development of contemporary high-tech represented the information science and technology is affecting the industrial and economic development in a country and a regional. The geographic information systems and traffic information are the important manifestation. They are to the intelligent transportation system and the direction of industry development. TGIS is a computer system that composed by the software and hardware. And it can collect, store, manage, comprehensive analysis and deal with the spatial information and traffic information. It developed based on the geographic information system technology.With the continuous development of the computer software technology, the development of geographic information system approach is also more diversification. The way of development based on the COM GIS is the trend of the times. In this paper is mostly discussing application of the secondary development of traffic geographic information system based on the ArcGIS Engine technology that is based on COM technology.At first, this paper introduces the research background and is significance. And then discuss the advantages of the COM GIS compared with the traditional GIS. Through the analysis and comparison of the methods of secondary development based on the ArcGIS, then bring in the secondary development implement as the application system development tools. At the same time it discusses the component technology and its characteristics.Finally, on the basis of XXX City's geographic database, using ArcGIS Engine9.2 as the GIS development platform, the system uses Object-oriented approach to programming. Trough the Visual C++ 6.0 development language called ArcGIS Engine component library which provides the components of the COM agreement and using interface and functions related to develop system functions, the system realizes data loading, map controlling, traffic information querying, buffer analysis and so an. The system development as a beneficial development exploration of GIS practical application, developing a simple city traffic geographic information system and it also provides an effective reference for the development of other traffic GIS.
