Research Of The Highway Information Service System Based On WebGIS

The WebGIS(Web Geographyical Information System) is a result of combining surveying and mapping technology with computer application technology. Relying on Internet, Geographyical Information System(GIS) make it the true reality in sharing the information.Now, WebGIS is becoming a hot point and highlight in the fields of surveying and mapping and computer application technology.With the development of Internet information technology and GIS technology, WebGIS has been widely used in various departments.WebGIS has a widely future because of its platform independece ,extensive interoperability and low expense in system realization.The model of WebGIS and its realization technology is firstly analyzed in the dissertation.Many popular products of WebGIS are compared.The traits and system structure of WebGIS platform are introduced particularly.And the framework of WebGIS based on ArcGIS Server is analyzed.In order to explore the social and popular application of WebGIS, the highway information service system based on WebGIS is researched.Firstly, according to the the data format traits and actual requirements which the system needs, this dissertation provided the most optimal combination mode of the spatial data and the attribute data, reasonably designed the database. Secondly, the author brought forward the B/S system distributed model, divided the whole system into three layers structure model which are client browser,WebGIS site application and data server.This model improve the system reusability and portability compared with the traditional model.Lastly used the ArcGIS Server as the information publication platform, applied ASP.NET and ADO.NET techniques etc, to achieve all designed function for example map roaming, travel reference and traffic information inquiries etc.So that made it as highway information service system website which has perfect function, tranquilized system and smart expansibility.
