Study On Earthquake Damage Loss Assessment Of Urban Buildings' Decorations

In the city, the engineering is complex, the population is dense, and the wealth is centralized. The earthquakes occurred directly particularly in the urban underground and local near field earthquake had once given the urban engineering to the serious destruction, the huge economic loss and the casualties. In China, seismic loss assessment was based on local government reports before 1988.The application of normative earthquake damage loss assessment method derived from the Datong-Yanggao earthquake (Ms6.1) in 1989, at that time having the very positive significance. However, it is mainly suitable for countryside and small town area, further perfect in several decades; Yuan Yifan and other experts work out national standard (GB 18208.4-2005) on the basis of absorbing practical experience in 2005 .Lots of key issues during the evaluation have been revised, and taking into account the economic development,"Loss Ratio of the building damage"was made a certain increase (about 5%). Since the implement of this standard, it have been playing an enormous role in the work of assessing loss after all previous calamity, and providing an important basis for the restoration and rebuilding and the decision-making of all levels governments .At present, with the economical development and living standards' enhancement, the decoration proportion in building costs is improved greatly in our cities. Therefore, it is very essential to considerate appropriately decoration losses in current seismic loss assessment in the city. This article has initially established the loss assessment method of decoration seismic damage based on the building cost materials and earthquake damage materials, with a view to enable China's earthquake disaster damage assessment further refinement and improvement.In this paper, the main research contents as following:1) The development and current of domestic and international seismic loss assessment situation is summarized. Meantime, the disaster in mechanism and characteristic of urban earthquake disaster are summed up, and then the definition and classification of earthquake disaster losses are analyzed systematically.2)In this paper, domestic and international different natural calamity losses are studied by compared with existing results, especially method of evaluation in floods and earthquake disaster and result have carried on key analysis, and probe into their similarities and differences to click from it. The evaluation method and results of flood and earthquake disaster have been especially analyzed, from which the similarities and differences of them have been inquired. 3) The loss assessment method of decoration seismic damage is initially established. Several key parameters in evaluation are thoroughly studied: a) division standard of the building decoration damage grade and main body structure damage grade; b) the decoration damage loss ratio; c) the building decoration expense proportion; d) the building replacement cost and the decoration loss correction coefficients.4)Finally, the building economic losses evaluation of 6.4 magnitude urban earthquake is analyzed as an example to verify the accuracy of the proposed model. Meantime, in the Wenchuan earthquake (Ms 8.0) disaster loss assessment, the urban building decoration earthquake damage loss assessment method proposed in this paper is widely used.
