As we all know, China Mainland is one of the most important mainland which have an active earthquake in the world . Its characteristic is that the seismic source is very shallow, it distributes widely and the intensity is very big. From the history, the earthquake disaster brought about enormous threat to people's life and property of our country. On May 12th ,the Wenchuan earthquake made great loss to people's life and property ,which shocked us enormously again and urges us even more diligently to join in the work of earthquake forecast. But the earthquake forecast can't accomplish in an action and it is a long-term and arduous work. It needs one generation, even several generation of us to work hard to finish it. we accumulated a lot of earthquake observed data during the long-term earthquake observation and forecast work process. It is the vital step to do well in data's memory and information analysis. For it, the author proposed the establishment of earthquake forecast OLAP analysis system. The author completed overall system's design and implementation procedure, and analyzed the seismic data information.The paper mainly completes the following content:According to the question which exists in the present seismic data preservation and the analysis processing, the author proposes the way to establish earthquake forecast OLAP analysis system, and analyzes the systemic question which needs to be solved , the prime task, the research content, as well as the practical significance.According to the characteristic of China's seismic data and the seismic activity, the author narrates the establishing standards of system in the time dimension and the spatial dimension in details; under the condition of satisfying the data warehouse specification, considers the manufacturer database product's stability, the market share , and a series of question such as : whether other manufacturer's database system connection is mature or not. This paper chooses the data warehouse development kit achievement which Oracle Corporation provides to be the platform, based on this, proposes systemic architecture and the data organization structure. This paper's emphasis is to elaborate OLAP analysis system's construction process in the earthquake forecast according to the designed systemic architecture and the Data organization structure.Finally, the author use earthquake OLAP analysis system to show and the analyze the seismic data.The paper constructs the earthquake forecast OLAP system mainly to have the following characteristic:This system mainly realizes the earthquake contents data database and the data warehouse, provides complete, reliable, unified earthquake contents and provides seismic region , seismic belt which the epicenter locates.Through this system's OLAP the analysis, the earthquake forecast worker or other related staff may examine seismic region , seismic belt or the administrative area's earthquake event in the different compartment and the different magnitude's seismic activity characteristic in time and directly. We carry on longitudinal analysis comparison, moreover, may also examine seismic region , seismic belt or the administrative area's earthquake event in the same compartment and the same magnitude's seismic activity characteristic and will enable it to have a direct-viewing to the present situation of seismic activity, and analyze earthquake's future trend and development change.This system's implementation, may greatly enhance the management and the use of the seismic data, the user may realize interaction in the true sense through the WEB browser; Through this system's research, it will certainly impel the data warehouse and the OLAP technology in the earthquake's application.
