The relationship between the examination and evaluation of knowledge is one of the most important issues in the study of modern epistemology and scientific methodology. Firstly in this paper, the historical transformation of the question was expounded on the basis of Marxist philosophical epistemology. Then, it was analyzed into three parts: the conceptions and the differences of examination and evaluation, the relationship between examination and evaluation and the unity of examination and evaluation. The concepts of examination and evaluation were analyzed from the views of the"two measures"of Karl Marx. And the differences of them were embodied by the different objects, different roles, different criterions and different aims of each other. The relationship of them was dialectically analyzed in four parts: the mutual definition, evaluation in examination, examination in evaluation and the mutual effects. The unity of them was analyzed in the unity of them in practice, the unity of epistemology and axiology and the unity of theory and practice. The significance of the study on the examination and evaluation of knowledge to current natural science study and practice refers to three"double"questions: double effect, double relationship and double criterion; to humanities refers to the collapse and reconstruction of reason, the growing up of humanities and the unity of humanities and science; to scientific decision making consists in promoting the unity of the regularity and purposefulness, the fairness and reasonableness, the means rationality and value rationality of decision–making.
