21st century is the century that marine natural environment protection is the same important as resource sustainable exploitation. Ocean has the key effect to human subsistence and development, and is the world's home. In the future, human will pay more and more attention to ocean and together with coastal zone which is the most developed region in the near sea country and has more particularity and significance. Meanwhile along with global economic rapidly development, development on the coastal zone will be further and increasingly. Therefore, deepening research on coastal zone, adopting the protection development and standardized use of coastal zone, should be one of important contents in geoscience's research during new century.Liaoning Province coastal zone lies in the suture of eastern part of Yin - Tianshan complex tectonic zone and first Neocathaysian tectonic system, which includes the second mega subsiding zone, the second mega uplift zone and third mega uplift zone. Based on the original geological structure, the figure of modern coast had been fixed after several eustacy since the Quaternary Period. In the post-glacial period, several factors impact on coast developing and evolution unceasingly, such as rivers, the wave, the tide and the coast silt transport and so on.The type of Liaoning seacoast may be divided into the harbor bedrock seacoast, the island reef bedrock seacoast, the plain silt muddy coast, the cape bay silt muddy coast, the cape bay sandy seacoast, the dike sandy seacoast. According to the difference in corrosion, the seacoast may be divided into the strong corrosion, the corrosion, the weak corrosion, stable, the accretion coast.The abrasion geomorphy in Liaoning coast obviously, mostly distributes arround Dalian and some abrasion geomorphy of antiquity in the eastern of North Yellow Sea. Coastal accumulation relief mainly distributes in Liaoxi, the east Liaodong bay, the estuary region is especially remarkable. The tidal flat geomorphy mainly distributes in North Yellow Sea coast and north part of Liaodong bay, obviously in microtopography and zoning.The region which depth is lower than 20 meter in Bohai Sea and North Yellow Sea is the semi-closed sea area near the shore, and is the part that the continental margin extends into the submarine. The seabed geomorphy units are diverse and the scale is huge.The geotectonic and the lithological character make the decisive effect to the seacoast development and evolution and rift structure has the obvious control to the seacoast development. Later hydrodynamic forces are the mainly dynamics to the seacoast evolution. Since the sea level controls rivers, the wave and the tidal current to the coastal zone sphere and degree, three ingressions since Quaternary Period have controlled and affect the Liaoning coast geomorphy development and evolution, and formed the modern seacoast pattern finally.By analysis on inspecting in the open country, the digital plotting, tidal flat survey with RTK, peat coal level 14C, and historic information, this article makes some studies on geomorphological features and forming and dynamics factors of coastal zone in Liaoning Province.
