On The Scientific Rationality Is A Universal Value

Faced with the ehtnocentrism and the cultural nihilism, people try to find a universal value to address the plight facing humanity. This paper is an attempt in this regard. The Enlightenment Movement had advocated reason excessively, resulting in the proliferation of Scientism. Recently people try to correct scientific bias, but arrive to another extremeness, in result of the prevalence of suspicion of science. This paper attempts a proposition that the scientific rationality is one of universal values.In recent years, the research for the universal values and the scientific rationality is much, but few people pay attention to the universality of the scientific rationality. Universal values should found on real-life , accord with the common interests of human beings. The Scientific rationality has corrected for departure of Scientism,taking into account with the Humane Care and social and historical factors in the first place of science.So it can not only bring benefits to mankind, also meet the needs of the individual who is both secular and transcendent . The Scientific rationality can be used as one of the universal values, because it in line with these characteristics of the universal values.Propagating the Scientific rationality can oppose both of ehtnocentrism and cultural nihilism,and show the path of development of human civilization.
