A Study On City Expanding Of Fuling In Chongqing Based On Remote Sense And GIS

The city has borne the weight of human function, which is more and more intricater. City has expanded obviously and many kind of resource had been consumed sharply with the development of city. As a kind of essential nature resource, land has been direct infected. It incarnates especially that various types of land use on the fringe of a city has turn into urban land use.In China, city has developed since the late of twenty century. On the other hand, West Planning had been advanced and brought into effect. Towns in Chongqing has developed quickly. Filling is one of the distributing area. Plantation and greenbelt had been reduce, which has affected the entironment and economy. The study on hilly city expanding and proportion of the land use type occupied in Chongqing is one of the important hot topics at the present time.The study researches into the types of land use transformation and its driving force by the urban in the period of 20 years from 1988 to 2007 in Fuling city.It was carried out with the remote sensing thematic information extraction and spatial overlay techniques based on the multi-temporal remote sensing data, GIS, social and economic data. This research makes an analysis on the influence of exchanging intensity on the urban expansion in Fuling.According to the remote sensing of multiple period of time and the aerial image, through the space analyses function of GIS and the method of girding, this paper which analysis of the Urban Expansion of Fuling in Chongqing city makes a brief research about the time and space of Fuling urban land use and gets the conclusions: for the economics stimulation, population factor and the process of traffic, the city expands with accelerating, and the intensity is inequable in each time. It is drawn that physical geography environment has decide the direction of Filling development, and its social and economic stimulation give an important impulse to its build. The exchanging environment has had some positive effects and negative effects of on the built-up land expansion in Filling in recent 20 years.As one of cities in mountain region and Three Gorges Reservoir, Fuling must harmonized its city build and entironment, pay attention to its build feature, bring into play efficiency of land use enough and prompt the coordinating development of city steadily in economy and society with the process of urbanization. That is the key point of Fuling development for the future.
