A Study On Urban Expanding Of Bao Ji City Based On GIS And Remote Sense

Since2000, the implementation of western development strategy, the socio-economic level of the western region has developed rapidly. On the one hand, large numbers of rural people flock to cities and towns, making the old town have been expanding; on the other hand, a large number of city, town produced through change the county to city, change the township to town. The process of the population to towns, villages into cities and towns, expanding the city limits known as urbanization. The primary performance of urbanization is expansion of the phenomenon of urban space. Expansion of urban space is the direct embodiment of urbanization development, through the analysis of urban expansion, we can deepen understanding of the nature of urbanization and provide effective spatial decision for the city’s sustainable development.This paper analyzed and summarized on the basis of similar research abroad, taking Baoji City as the research object, using geographic information systems and remote sensing technology, using the date of1988and2007Landsat TM images and Landsat ETM+image in2000, extraction the remote sensing information of the area change of Baoji City in the process of urban expansion, and analyzed the characteristics of urban expansion of Baoji City by using GIS and spatial analysis. Finally,analyze the human driving force of urban growth factors in this region in1988-2007.The main contents include:(1) Extraction of urban expansion. This paper has three remote sensing images to geometric correction, image enhancement, etc. pretreatment, the use of unsupervised classification and artificial visual correction methods were combined with information extraction from urban expansion.(2) Analyzed the number of different periods of urban growth and the spatial characteristics of urban expansion. Analysis of the characteristics of urban expansion in Baoji. Spatial analysis using GIS analysis and spatial orientation in the buffer analysis by using of spatial analysis in GIS Spatial Analysis and buffer analysis. (3)Human driving factors of urban expansion. Analysis of the factors driving forces of urban expansion in Baoji mainly from the socio-economic, demographic, transportation and other aspects, and built a multiple linear regression model to predict urban expansion.
