Studied in this work was achene morphology of the genus Potentilla in Shandong and it's taxo-nomic significance. The achenes of 32 species and varieties were observed under stero microscope and scanning electronic microscope(SEM).The conclusions are as follows:3 types of carpodermis sculptures were found t1nder SEM,i.e.net type, cap type, wart type, wave type and irregular type;the morphological characters of achenes, especially the carpodermis sculptures has importanttaxonomic significance in genus potentilla. In this paper, the pollen of palvnology of this genus is almost same of the optical microscope and theelectron microscope (2500), radiation symmetry long-globe oregg-shaped, 3 hole-channel, stripe. But differsin the shape of hole-channel, type of stripe, etc. on the electron microscope (10000-20000). In this paper,Pollens are classified to 3 typies. In this paper, the leaf epidermal of 11 species and 2 varletes of the genus Potentilla in China were observed under microscope and stero microscope. The conclusions are as follows: 1. 2 types of leaf epidermal were fund among the oberseved taxon,i. e.unicellular unbranched and straight ;unicellular unbranched and curled hair;glandular;stellate. 2. The types of leaf epidermal are stable in most species,so it has certain taxonomic value in this genus. P. lineariloba (franch.& sav.)F. Z. Li & N. N. Yu。...
