| In recent years, along with local cadastral databases were Gradually built up around land and resources management departments, it has been realized that data updating had been the difficulties key of GIS instead of data acquisition. Cadastral data updating is the life of modern cadastral, and the Objective requirements of sustainable development for cadastral or cadastral management. In this paper, the advanced and mature theoretical study on the fields of GIS around the world world, is applied into cadastral data updating practice. This thesis designs the updating mechanism of cadastral data more systematic based on WALK platform, from spatio-temporal data model, spatio-temporal topology analysis, updating operator, data quality control, long-concurrent processing, updating workflow etc.Firstly, the thesis analyzes the current situation of cadastral data updating in Hangchou, and points out the existence the insufficiency and the flaw. Secondly, after analying and comparing the character of several kinds of spatio-temporal data models, it is concluded that the spatio-temporal data model based on base state with amendments is the suitable spatio-temporal data model for data updating, and carries on the spatio-temporal database conceptual design. Then, in the foundation of spatio-temporal topology analysis, the thesis introduces updating operator based on spatio-temporal object entity change, and discusses the methods that the cadastral data updating automatic or semiautomatic realizes. In addition, in order to guarantee the cadastral data updating quality, the thesis proposes the cadastral data checking mehtods based on metadata and data rules, and introduces the solution about long-concurrent processing by version management. Finally, combining the work actual problem, we have optimization designed the workflow of cadastral data updating, and based the old system developed an experiment soft system which has been confirmed to be an effective solution.
