Based on statistics of wild plant resources used for Chinese medicine and for Mongolia medicine in Inner Mongolia, the paper compared the relationship between Chinese medicine and Mongolia medicine in the respect of use of wild plants.The result shows that more than 1042 species of wild plants are used for Chinese medicine, which belongs to 130 families and 453 genera. There are 508 species of wild plants used for Mongolia medicine, which belongs to 81 families and 216 genera. More than 474 species of wild plants are used in the both categories of medicine, which belongs to 81 families and 199 genera. 568 species of wild plants are special used for Chinese medicine, which belongs to 103 families and 315 genera, and some 34 species of wild plants are special used for Mongolia medicine, which belongs to 15 families and 24 genera.Wild plant resources used for Chinese medicine and for Mongolia medicine in Inner Mongolia represent distinctly difference and sameness in the respect of species, taxonomical group, used parts, taking methods, medicinal functions, life form, ecological type and phytogeographical characteristics. This paper has clarified the relationship between two traditional medicinal systems, and provided some scientific materials for the comprehensive utilization of wild medicinal plant resources of Inner Mongolia.
