Rare And Endangered Plant Resources And Countermeasures For Conservation In Qin-Ba Mountains

As an environmental conservation hotspot, to conserve biodiversity has being aroused public attention. The retrieval and conservation of rare and endangered plants is one of the most important taches. Qin-ba mountain is one of the both key regions in China, where biodiversity conservation are asked, and is one of the areas containing a large quantity species in our country and warm-temperate and North-subtropic Zone of Easte Asia. It is very important for protecting entironment and biodiversity to study these regions'rare and endangered plant resources and protective countermeasures.In this paper, rare and endangered plant resources and protective countermeasures in Qin-ba mountains were investigated all around, maily research results are as follows.1. Species,living actuality, geographical distributing, biological and ecological habits of rare and endangered plants in Qin-ba mountains were investigated, and their protective value, endangered and protective grade were researched and compartmentalized. The results indicated that, there has about 81 species of rare and endangered plants in this areas, belongs to 43 families and 68 genus, including 7 species of endangered plants ,33 species of gradually endangered plants and 41 species of rare plants; 3 species of rank-1 and 14 species of rank-2 national conservation wild plants, 56 species of Shaan'xi key conservation wild plants.2. Four basic character of rare and endangered plants in Qin-ba mountains were summarized, they are as follows.(1) abundant species and composing. (2) age-old origin and much leftover. (3) complicated geographical component, obvious transition and unusualness.(4) concentrative and limitative geographical distribution, narrow ecological extent.3. Endangered reasons of plants in this area are maily,(1) evolvement of geological history. (2) themselves weakness of rare and endangered plants . (3) conservative heredity. (4) character of procreation. (5) worse of entironment year by year. (6) influence of human activity.4. Countermeasures for conservation aimmed at rare and endangered plants in Qin-ba mountains were put forward. (1) strengthen investigation to rare and endangered plants in Qin-ba mountains, constitute scientific conservation plans. (2) carry out classificatory conservation to rare and endangered plants. (3) strengthen and develop nature reserve and carry out conservation on the spot. (4) establish Qin-ba mountains endangered plant resourses center and develop conservation on other place or in vitro. (5) extend quantities of populations by artificial propagation. (6) develop scientific research and strengthen resource utilization studies . (7) strengthen the propaganda and rationally utilize resources.
