The present dissertation deals with the systematics of Dolichopodidae from Guangxi and distribution from Guangxi. The general morphology of 9 subfamilies and 28 genera are outlined. The research history of Dolichopodidae at home and abroad is briefly introduced. The different opinions over the generic classification of the subfamily are summarized. The general morphology of Dolichopodidae is outlined. The outlined information on the biology of Dolichopodidae is provided. The description of the 9 new species are given, made comparisons with the similar species.China belongs faunisticlly to two zoogeographical realms - the Palaearctic Realm and the Oriental Realm. Guangxi belongs faunisticlly to the Oriental Realm. The species from the Oriental China Realm, mostly from the South China Region, compose the principal part of Guangxi fauna. The species from Guangxi most belong to Oriental Realm species, and the species of Palaearctic, Australian and Ethiopian decrease gradually. The genera have different distribution in Guangxi, the number of species only found in Guangxi is 36, about 25% of the number in Guangxi. The species in the north, middle or south of Guangxi somewhat differ from each other. The species around Guangxi shown the distribution of Dolichopodidae. The correlative charts are given. In the taxonomic part, 145 species in 28 genera from Guangxi are described. 9 species belong to 2 genera are described as new to science: Hercostomus dayaoshanensis sp. nov., Hercostomus acutilobatus sp. nov., Hercostomus serriformis sp. nov., Hercostomus sanjianyuanus sp. nov., Hercostomus yinshanus sp. nov., Chaetogonopteron dayaoshanensis sp. nov., Chaetogonopteron longicercus sp. nov., Chaetonopteron zhuae sp. nov., Chaetogonopteron ventriseta sp. nov..The species from Guangxi are summarized. Keys to the genera of the Dolichopodidae and species of each genus from Guangxi are provided. The correlative draws of the new species are given. The types of the new species are deposited in the Insect Collection of China Agricultural University.
