Tan-Lu fault zone is active giant fracture zone in the east of China. It went through a long complicated evolutionary history. The being and development of Tan-Lu fault zone right affects geo-environment condition in its two sides.This study deals with the case of landslides in the two sides of Tan-Lu fault zone in Chaohu. By field investigating, measure, indoor-test and analyzing data systematically research actuality, distributing characteristics, matter composing, types of Landslide and forming conditions in the studying field. Landslides were classified in its region. According to floor lithology, clay landslide has two classifications. Firstly, floor is the Cretaceous sandstone of clay landslide, called I clay landslide. Secondly, floor is the Cretaceous conglomerate, called II clay landslide. According to position of sliding face, depositing soil landslide has three classifications. Firstly, the sliding face brings in wash-residual soil, called I depositing soil landslide. Secondly, the sliding face brings in wash-residual soil and, called II depositing soil landslide. Thirdly, the sliding face brings in shale and face of fault, called III depositing soil landslide. Formation mechanism is discussed. At last, geological mode of the typical landslide is found in the two sides of Tan-Lu fault zone in Chaohu. By the case of Wangjiazui landslide, expound significance of Constructing geological mode in the analysis of landslide stability.The conclusion of this study affords abundant basic geological data, for hazard zonation of landslide and city planning later, in this study field. The conclusion has very import significance, for disaster preparedness and reduction, in this study field.
