The Establish Of Remote Sensing Image Database Base On Oracle

The establishment of a powerful image database system is a high effective method to organize and manage enormous remote sensing image datum. The paper selected the Oracle database with VC as the basis of the image database system, designs and carries out the prototype of the image database system. The working content is as follows:The thesis introduces the characteristic, performance, structure of the Oracle Database Management System, etc. Then adoptes Oracle database Management System as the platform. It establishes the foundation for data organization and manage as well as systematic design and realization.With the method of Object-oriented Programming (OOP), the paper develops the image database system with Oracle and VC, with Oracle Call Interface.Researches on relative key technologies of image database, including partitioning, coding and index of image block, query and visualization of image, updating of image data.After designing the prototype of the image database system, the paper practices the image database system with Oracle and VC, then put image into database.
