Research On The WebGIS Spatial Data Integrated Storage Based On Oracle 10g

With the progress of technology of WebGIS, more and more requests for the construction of geographic spatial database are brought up. Oracle database has been added in spatial component, and its 10g edition offers not only a model to store geography vector data as objects, but also one for raster data storage, and the ability of Oracle to manage spatial data is perfected.This thesis analyzes the structure and mechanism of object-relation model of the Oracle10g spatial component, and researches the ways of geographic data storage and management based on them. At last, the author developes a GIS spatial database management system based on Oracle10g using VB program language, through which proving that integrated storage and management of the spatial data in a WebGIS in one Oracle database, including vector data and raster data, can be realized perfectly based on Oracle10g spatial component.
