Marine observation is the base of marine research, development and utility and the observation equipment is the tool and method to implement marine observation. Oceanography data are not only the primary result of marine research but also an important base for marine development. The underwater current-wave-tide integrated observation system is one of the most important members in the ocean dynamic environment real time three-dimensional monitoring system included in the ocean monitoring system project in the National 863 program, it is a real time integral signal receiving and processing system for wave height, wave period, current velocity and direction, temperature and salinity. The design of data receiving and data processing system for land station including the guide, scheme, specific hardware and software and experiment result is discussed in this paper.The data receiving and processing system for land station includes hardware and software. Microcontroller of 51 series is applied in the hardware and the underwater buoy communicates with the receiving and processing system of the land station by RS-485 serial interfaces. The software of the system is programmed in Visual Basic 6.0 which is widely used in the development of all kinds of observation system due to its short development cycle, strong capability and convenience. The function of the data receiving and processing system is receiving and storing the data and then processing and analyzing them statistically. The user can control the receiving system through the man-machine interface. The test in the lab and the field shows that the system achieves all the design targets including stableness, precision and automatization with an interface that is easy to practice and extensible and it can receive data correctively and get a credible result after processing.
