It s very important for nuclear experiments such as:multi-parameter measures in reactors> accelerators and neutronactiviation analysis to measure gamma spectrum and multi-scalerspectrum at the same time. To meet the needs of the scientificresearch of national defence, in this article, we hve expoited theparallel driver of a four-detector multi-channel analyzer andmulti-scaler system and Windows application. Aiming at thedifficulties in gamma spectrum (especially in theNaI(T1)low-resovling gamma spectrum) analysis such as:theresolving power is low and the precision of analysis is'tenough, in the article,basing on the using of all the datas ofevery channel, we have studied the artificial neural networkunfolding and the lest-square unfolding techniques. We havecaculation the detector response functions for the abovetechniques. We have advanced and implemented the insertingmethod that caculates the response functions between twoenergies basing on the response functions of the two energies.1, Under the Windows system, applications cann t call theresource of parallel hardware , so the special driver ofparallel is needed. We can use the VXD or WDM driver of parallelunder Win95/98/Me, but we can use the only WDM driver of parallelunder WinNT/2000/XP. Ir nhis article, we have exploited the WDMdriver of a four-detector multichannel analyzer and sealersystem to make the data acquisition system can run underWinNT/2000/XP.2, According to the requires of a four-detector multichannel analyzer and sealer system, we have expoited the relevant Windows software that carries out the functions of multi-window displaying and controlling the four detectors respectively.3, Analyzing the traditional unfolding techniques and studing the unfolding technique that utilizes all the datas of every channel, we have programmed the artificial neural network unfolding and the lest-square unfolding in Matlab. We have used the program to unfold the NaI(Tl) γ spectrum and the results of these are more precise than that of the traditional unfolding.4, According to the needs of the unfolding technique that utilizes all the datas of every channel, we have caculated the detector 's response functions of NaI(Tl). The first method: we have caculated the response function using Monte Carlo me tod (mcnp4b), and the result is more accurate. The second method: we have caculatd some response functions using inserting method basing on the response functions that measured by experiments, we can advance the precision of the response functions and advance the precision of the unfolding technique that utilizes all the datas of every channel.In conclusion, the studies on the exploiting of the softwares of multi-detector nuclear data acquisition system and the unfolding technique that utilizes all the datas of every channel have obtained some new and significant results.
