technology, Nihegou watershed,Wangdonggou watershed and Zaozigou watershed were dealt with, the land use map of 1986 and 2004 (2005) and research data, and the landscape index computation and the method of statistical analysis were used , and the landscape characteristic of agro-forestry complex ecosystems in hilly and gully loess Plateau regions of Weibei was analyzed, including the area changes of landscape elements, the transfer of landscape type, the index of landscape elements and so on.The research conclusions are shown as follows:(1)The landscape pattern of agro-forestry complex ecosystems has changed greatly during the past 18 years in hilly and gully loess Plateau regions of Weibei. The spatial distribution of cultivated land, garden plot, woodland, grassland, residential area and road has changed more greater than water regions and not exploited lands. And the inhabited area of establishing recently is located near the regions of convenient transportation.(2)According to the changes of area and quantity of landscape, we known that the change of cultivated land, garden plot, grassland, residential land and road land is the biggest. In the whole, the area of garden plot and cultivated land increased, and the area of cultivated land reduced relatively, it indicated that the industry of forest and fruit was still rising in this area. Being landscape elements are closely linked with human activity close, it shown that the human activity played the leading role to the landscape pattern.(3) The uniformity and dominance index of landscape elements in Nihegou watershed and Wangdonggou watershed is small, it shown that landscape pattern of two watersheds were dominated by multiple elements and didn't exist dominant species. Whereas the dominance of grassland is far bigger than others, it indicated that grassland had little sway in Zaozigou watershed. Landscape diversity was on the whole increased; this shown that landscape heterogeneity of agro-forestry complex ecosystems rose and had been developed to favorable direction at present.
