This paper chooses the research area in small watershed Whampoa River in Zhungeer banner, and selects four kinds of artificial vegetation configuration mode and contrasting area in the the research area, which contains of natural restoration of vegetation and soil, this can give the investigation of the growth status of arbor and shrub in the artificial vegetation configuration mode, the diversity of understory herbaceous biomass, the physical and chemical properties of soil, the Runoff and sediment of testing and contrasting area in different rainfall condition. This paper uses excel and SAS sofeware to analysis the ecological factor, and builds the ecological benefit evaluation index system of artificial vegetation configuration mode on loess hilly and gully regions using analytic hierarchy process, and reacts the index contribution rate by weighting, and calculates the ecological benefit of different artificial vegetation configuration mode. the results show that:(1)The artificial vegetation configuration mode of pinus tabulaeformis combing hippophae rhamnoides has the highest biological diversity and evenness, biodiversity index less than that of the control area of natural restoration vegetation in The mode of pinus tabulaeformis combing caragana, The mode of apricot combing hippophae rhamnoides and the mode of pinus tabulaeformis, apricot combing caragana.(2)The resarch area’s physicochemical properties and vegetation configuration mode have close relationship with slope for the physicochemical properties of soil, this shows that the soil physical and chemical properties in the bottom of the slope are generally superior to the top and middle, and are different for different soil thickness.(3)According to the actual monitoring data of standard runoff plot in the experimental zone of tera ditch of shangwulan dithc river basin, the average flow of the mode of pinus tabulaeformis combing Hippophae rhamnoides is the least, and the mode of pinus tabulaeformis, apricot combing caragana is the maximum, respectively of1.05m3/100m2and1.33m3/100m2,the runoff of bare land of constrasting area is the maximum, and for2.27m3/100m2, the sequence of the average runoff and sediment is bare land, natural restoration of vegetation zone, pinus tabulaeformis, apricot combing caragana. apricot combing hippophae rhamnoides, pinus tabulaeformis combing hippophae rhamnoides, pinus tabulaeformis combing caragana form big to small. (4)The result of ecological benefits analysis and quantified of the test area and constrasting area showed that, the sequence of the ecological benefits is pinus tabulaeformis combing hippophae rhamnoides mode, apricot combing hippophae rhamnoides mode, chinese pine, the mode of natural restoration vegetation, pinus tabulaeformis and apricot combing caragana mode, bare land.
