In the cladistic way, the dissertation analyzed the phylogenetic relationship of 18 genera of Mirinae (Heteroptera: Miridae) from Inner Mongolia China. 44 characters with 96 states were chosen based on the morphological comparison. The character data matrix was formed through outgroup analysis and computed using the programs PAUP (version 4.0), Hennig86 (version1.5) and Winclada (version1.00.04), and the same most parsimonious trees and strict consensus cladogram were obtained from both computations to explain the phylogenetic relationship among the genera. We categorized these genera involved in the phylogenetical analysis into 13 groups according to the results. They are Lygus group, Apolygus group, Agnocoris group, Orthops group, Salignus group, Pinalitus group, Polymerus group, Dichrooscytus group, Adelphocris group, Capsodes group, Myrmecoris group, Notostira group and Stenodema group. Based on this point, it is concluded that Myrmecoris should be promoted to tribe taxon Myrmecorini, and affirmed the previous classification between Mirini and Sternodemini.
