Along with the increasing of the lumber requirement and the improvement of the lumber science and technical level, now people are popular to studying the wood and today it is one of the important issues which will be solved urgently for our country forestry science to evaluate the wood quality and wood properties scientifically. Wood cell wall thickness is an important index to evaluate the wood quality and it's also the external reflection of the comprehensive index of the wood interior factor. We can estimate almost all the mechanics intensity and the elasticity through the change of the wood cell wall thickness for example: the modulus of elasticity, tensile stiffness , tensile stiffness and so on.So it is very important to find out the variation regulation of wood mechanics character in growth process. The cell area is the most important factor to study the growth of the wood in a annual ring. It is the most intuitionistic expression for the wood cell growth, so the Wood cell wall thickness and the wood cell area are the central studing object. The ambit is very distinctness between early wood and late wood so it is very typical to study the larch. We set up variation regulation model in a annual ring wall of the thickness and the cell area based on least -square which provided the theory basis for further analyzing some questions about physics mechanical properties of timbers, for making effective measure to breed fast-growing, high quality timber and for forecasting material quality in early stage. In this thesis, we presented the model structure, realized the curve fitting process with Matlab and confirmed the model which is accurate. We will use Cellular Automata to make the wood cell growth model and simulink the split of the wood cell.
