Research And Realization Of Tourism Information System Based On GIS

Nowadays, tourism is progressing rapidly all over the world. The development of information technology is a powerful impetus which accelerates the development of tourism. The appearance of the tourism information system is an embodiment of the combination of tourism and information technology. It can improve the service standard and management quality of tourism industry greatly, which consequently accelerates the progress rate of tourism industry. With software technology and spatial information technology being its core, Geography Information System (GIS) provides an ideal platform for tourism information system to develop.The tourism information system concerned in this thesis is studied and established aiming at solving the existent problems of traditional tourism information system. The main research contents of this thesis are as following:(1) Traditional tourism information system is studied and discussed deeply, with its shortcomings analyzed. Then a prototype system is put forward. Meanwhile, not only its methods and technology but also its feasibility is demonstrated and introduced.(2) In order to program to satisfy their different needs, one system facing to tourists and the other one facing to tourism managers are studied together. At the same time, how to integrate GIS with multimedia technology is also studied, in order to provide tourists with multimedia information.(3) The evaluation model and forecast model in common use is summarized and analyzed. Based on synthetic evaluation model in fussy mathematics and cubic exponential smoothing method of time series, the evaluation and forecasting models are established. Combined with the evaluation and forecasting models, GIS is employed to evaluate tourism, to analyze and visualize the forecast results.(4) Overall design is proceeded according to the goal of this system. Based on the framework of C/S and B/S, using the technology of ComGIS and WebGIS, a prototype system is developed. Its functions and characters are also introduced.
