In this paper, a review of groundwater modeling is first given, which includes thehistory of numerical simulation models, the development of software of the models and theapplication of numerical simulation models to hydro-geological studies. Then deal withhydro-geological conceptual model and groundwater simulation model by means of theanalysis of geological and hydro-geological condition about geermu area. Based on aconceptual model in the area, a three-dimensional groundwater flow model is developedand calibrated by PMWIN pro. Then the water resources of groundwater under presentsituation and average annual conditions are estimated by using the model. And analysiswater resource would changing status in the future established a series of forecast numericalsimulation models. Analysis surface water connects with ground water about geermu.The results show that the total surface water resource at present (2000) in this area is9.42×108m3, Total ground water resource is 6.35×108m3. Take out refrain water resource is5.91×108m3. The total water resource is 9.86×108m3. According to the analysis on thecondition of hydrological geology, we can get the recharge and discharge relationship ofsurface water and groundwater in Germu River Basin.: 1) Upside surface water replenishground water just not change along with flux and ground water imbed depth changed. Themiddle of the river surface water in leakage change distinctness connect with ground waterimbed depth. Backward position surface water and ground water translation violence, Butbecause the characteristic of auriferous, Make backward position exchange little.2) Groundwater replenish surface water— The water of spring reduces with the increscent of drawing,and increase or reduces with the incensement or reduced of through water, and has lageffect. And discuss accord with geermu area's exploiting mode by the result of a series offorecast numerical simulation models. And elicit geermu area's exploitation potential is20×104m3/d. By the result of prediction model, we can get the mode of water resource'sappropriate development and use:1)in the plain of stone desert and gravel, we shouldstartup the flood controlling project again, and bundle the stream water of diffused rivercourse to reduce the filter loss of the river course.2)in the south of Geermu City, we canbuild large scale water head site, and extract groundwater to supply the industry anddemestic water of Geermu City.3)In the plain of fine earth ,we can extract shallowgroundwater to perform farming irrigation, and reduce the abstraction volume from surfaceriver, e.g.Germu River and so on, in order to ensure the inflow of Dabuxun Lake.4)Weshould control the abstraction volume from the lake of mining halogen, in order to ensurethe sustainable development of ecology in salt lake and periphery.
