With the naissance of modern science and technology, it appeared three fantastic novels in Europe. More "Utopia" ; Campanella "Civitas Solis " and Bacon "New Atlantis" . These novels have a common ground: they animadverted on the social politics, the philosophy, the science etc and described their own ideal social foreground. In New Atlantis, Bacon advocates science and affirms technical rationality, which has great influence on unborn social development .The wisdom that "Knowledge is power" summarizes and generalizes his thought,This paper takes Bacon and his "New Atlantis" as the key point. There is three aspects to discuss the status. the infection and the historical localization of Bacon's literature.First: New Atlantis knows from, Utopia and Civita? Solis. Which is namely Bacon's "novelty".Second, Bacon animadverts on traditional classical scientific and philosophical thought and assumes studies of future science in New Atlantis. Comparing with Aristotle's science and his heres, Where the "novelty" of Bacon's scientific viewpoint is.Third: It points out the deficiency of Bacon's imagination through scanning the scientific progress from Bacon, in order to probe into the "old" in New Atlantis.The writer thinks that Bacon's ideal exterminating has many reasons, two of them are:First, the science and technology make the new question unceasingly while they solve questions, and neglect the prices that paid for them.Second, Bacon equates completely technical advancement to social and moral progress. And he doesn't notice the scientific and technical original ethical questions.
