Philosophic Thought On Symmetry Breaking

This paper studied the history of the symmetry and symmetry-breaking, and explained them from the approaches of natural sciences and philosophy. By collecting and reorganizing these cases from natural sciences, including physics, biology, geography, chemistry, astronomy etc. This paper analyzed the thing how the symmetry of a thing was broken. In particular, it from this approach of philosophy analyzed three pairs of similar categories: the conservation and the non- conservation, the balance and the non-balance, the disorder and the order, clarify the dialectical relationship between the symmetry and symmetry-breaking. In the meanwhile, it using relation and development, the rule of the contradictory and unity as well as the dialectical negative of Marxist Philosophy carried on the analysis. Therefore, it has been proved the symmetry-breaking not only is the universal existence, moreover is the power of the thing's development, the biodiversity fountainhead, the reason of the colorful and rich world. I.Joliot Curie ever said "The symmetry-breaking created the world".The symmetry and symmetry-breaking reflected the unity and the multiplicity of things. By the methods of analytic cases and induction, this paper provided the basis for our scientific research and one kind of understanding pattern to know the discoveries and to create the theories of the sciences, more importantly, it offered the principles of the methodology and the enlightenment for the development of the modern sciences and the foresight of the science. The process of the development of the thing is that the cycle of symmetry-symmetry-breaking-new symmetry-breaking.
