Ecological Landscape Design Of Artificial Wetland

As the ecological system which has the most biology diversiform and ecological function, wetland distributing all around the world. Wetland, which offers many resources for human being's living, production, and relaxation, is the most important circumstance for humans'survival and development, many civilizations developed nearby wetland; it has irreplaceable functions on flood controlling and regulating, contamination decomposing, and so on, likes the "kidney of the Earth"; wetland is also the most important inhabited area for many wild propagation, especially birds. However, with the rapid increase of population and the unilateralism acknowledge to wetland, resulted in destruction and unreasonable usage to it. This made the rapid shrink of wetland area, continuing lose of natural character, decline of ecological value. Natural wetland is in heavy dangerous. In such a situation, artificial wetland became the focus. Artificial wetland can not only reinforce natural wetland efficiently, but also alleviate the circumstance pressure to exist wetland, it is a good measure to protect natural wetland. In recent years, artificial wetland were made more and more for park, science education, ecological agriculture garden, closely to our life. So, how to design the artificial wetland became our question for discussion. Although many designers have made much creative practice and available explore on artificial wetland, but of the information in control, much research emphasized in ecology aspect, less in how to use the common landscape principles to design a artificial wetland, how to make the ecological theory into wetland landscape design. Those are what my dissertation pay attention to. In this dissertation, the author discussing the unique landscape aesthetic value of artificial wetland, researching the relation between landscape and ecology of wetland, and using some ecological theories, with the common landscape principles, explore the special request to wetland landscape, seeking a way to make ecology and landscape design harmony. Also, the author summarizing the concrete principles on selecting location, shape design, plant arrangement, bank design, and art sketch design. Wishing to find a way to combine beauty and ecology fine on artificial wetland landscape design, make a good link between nature and human being's living condition, harmonious synthesis between man and nature.
